Hunter x Hunter Chapter 334 Discussion

That... was rather anti-climactic.  And super-innocent Gon.  Granted, he didn't get to say/do much to show how he is now that he's healed (and I assume he doesn't remember much if Morau had to tell Leorio not to say anything about Killua healing him), but it just doesn't sit right with me that Gon's just back to being Gon after all that.



And where the hell's Kurapika?!

well, now we see if the author can keep up the momentum. this was a very exciting several chapters.

I highly doubt that Gon and Kil had met, otherwise he wouldn't have come this quick :/



Well yeah he wants to become a great hunter and all but when asked why he wants to become a hunter he says that he wants to meet his father and see what was so amazing about being a hunter that his father would abandon his only child for. I know that isn't his true ambition but most of the anticipation throughout the series was for him to find his father. If that never was his goal then this manga would be like one of those mangas where the main character is just fighting baddies without a true goal (no offense to Bleach heads).



Also, I know Gon and Killua probably didn't meet but HxH is so unpredictable that I try not to assume the obvious with it because i usually end up being wrong lol. Thanks for replying anyway, I now remember that Gon didn't necessarily only want to meet Ging and all.

Maybe the condition for healing someone to this extent was that the person healed wouldn't remember who made the wish? Just a guess, but it would maybe explain why Morel told Leorio not to tell him about Killua healing him? I'm probably way off, though.



I know his appearance was short, but I hope Gon isn't completely his usual self. I want him to undergo some sort of change after his amazing development in Chimera Ant. Still, I"m excited to see if he meets Ging. I can see him just not talking to him, similar to something Luffy did in OP.

The lack of Killua and Alluka makes me sad.



But damn, this election is so confusing. I hope Ging has something up his sleeve to stop Pariston.

Anyway, I guess Gon didn't want to see Ging (atlest not easy like this).

I'm betting that deadbeat bum, Ging is gonna disappear before Gon gets to him, or Gon is gonna say that he doesn't want to meet him until he becomes a great Hunter, perhaps a triple Hunter.  Now I'm worried about Killua.  But what really amazed me was Pariston.  He's a pretty awesome/scary guy.  I suppose he and Ging are playing the game on a different level from everyone else.

Loved this chapter but two things:



1. Gon's dream was to meet his father. Ging is here already so it looks like his ambition is gone. He can still become a great hunter but unless something happens between these two next chapter, this seems like its over. I'm sure Togashi will come up with something really epic.



2. Where's Killua? Guess he really left with Alluka right after saving him. I wonder if they talked at all.



Can't wait to see Gon and Ging talk, if that even happens and see what is to come of the hunter exams and all that stuff. Pariston is weird and most likely evil but in this chapter he didn't seem as annoying as the other ones.

Most well crafted arc in shonen history. Combination of both healing Gon and the election in one was phenomenal. Togashi proves he never lost his touch.
