It is so beautiful I can't. I'm crying so much today. Today I also read that chapter about a girl who carries the umbrella, there's also no fighting, the fate of the girl is left open, but at the end, Daigoro leaves onigiri  under the drawing he made of her on the wall, it is like offering for the dead at the altar and the girl must have been beaten to death during the night.

This manga really knows how to end a chapter. Almost no cliff hanger but effective as hell.

So there were still five Kurokuwa left. I had a hunch that they weren't gonna fight him. The ending was great.

This is beyond regular manga type of chapter, it feels like some genuine art.



That ending of chapter is just pure beauty , really shows you how a fight in manga can be displayed without there actually being any fight

Great chapter. I like how @LiarK called it a battle without a fight because that's exactly what this chapter was.

Retsudō pays a visit to a group of old retired Kurokuwa ninjas and asks them to kill Itto. They refuse at first and tell Retsudō that they're too old to be hunting wolves and that they've earn the right to die peacefully on their own terms for their service as Kurokuwa. He tries to convince them that they still have their skills and can do it and order them to go. They end up testing Itto and realize that if they fight him, all of them will die, including Itto and Diagoro. They think about how much time they have left to live and think of how Itto would be the same age as their children if they had any and how Diagoro would be the same age as their grandchildren. They decide to leave the wolf and cub alone and walk into the sea, giving up their life in exchange. Beautiful.
