Hunter x Hunter Chapter 22 Discussion

Trick Tower is actually my least favourite phase of the exam.



I really like Gon's "battle" and that he is the one that makes everyone pass. But the other stuff kinda drags on re-read. Leorio screws up with the betting. Kurapika only has one very short good moment. And Killua's fight is supposed to be a surprise, but isn't.



The Hunter Exam Arc is at its best when you really learn about the characters, and I just don't think there's much of that here. However, we do learn a bit about the Phantom Troupe and that Kurapika doesn't like spiders, so it's still pretty good.

Gon uses another the brain ;) The fifht pass the exam....

Here i thought the mangaka lost his grip of the ink container but then again this guy had thick lips and curly hair so it made sense.

Very smart plan by Gon to break them out after. Also, this next challenge seems fun. Standard game of assassin huh?

                        & thus concludes Trick Tower, which still may be my favorite portion of the Hunter Exam. Though I'm pretty excited to revisit the fourth phase, that's probably my favorite if Trick Tower isn't.
