aaand it comes full circle. so basically the ex-first disciple of Ryozanpaku is the one who created Ragnarok and the one who has probably trained Kenichi's rival. i like these kind of stories.

it seems i was wrong about him being closely related to Doraemon-sensei, though. Instead he's actually related to the Ryozanpaku.
I really liked this arc of the story. Despite Ogata's past, he played a crucial role in Kenichi forging his own path as a martial artist. And he seems to have some regrets about the path he chose with the symbolism behind the buddha statues that he sculpts.
