Ouch, I sure wouldn't like to get eaten by the rings of the dead.

Balmunk the magician decides to make his getaway for now. So no fight quite yet.

Gamma asks the doctor if anyone at the hospital has been eaten by a ring, but they don't quite understand what he means. So he demonstrates what he's talking about. He presses the jewel part of the ring to his finger and these little hand like arms come out and attach to his body and start absorbing his life force. He breaks the connection and it goes away. This is the first time we see what the rings are capable of, so it's good to know that they actually work. The life force they absorb is used to create zombie powder. If a person has been eaten by a ring, they essentially go into a coma and never wake up. After the doc and Wolfina see the demonstration, they take Gamma to see a patient that matches the criteria and it ends up being Wolfina's brother. So he's not dead like I assumed. He's just permanently comatose.
