Great chapter and some character development for Diagoro. Such a harsh path this little guy must face, but that's the path he's chosen to be with his father. Having to wait days for his father to return, but as the days pass, his impatience kicks in and he decides to go looking for his father. He encounters another Ronin, who is surprised to see a child with eyes that have witnessed countless death. The Ronin decides to test Diagoro by not telling him or saving him from a burning field. Diagoro showed such brilliant and quick thinking by setting up the mud the way he did and burying himself so that he didn't get burned. He survives and baffles the Ronin. The Ronin decides to pull his sword on Diagoro, but at that moment, Itto has returned from his business. I wonder what he was doing? Itto sees what is going on and he faces the Ronin in a duel. After effortlessly cutting the Ronin down, Itto shows his more fatherly side by caring for his son and helping him recover.
