Oh, before Goku shows up to save everyone. Tienshinhan shows up to save everyone. Wow, unique. That hasn't happened since the previous arc. No idea why Toriyama decided to put that in there. Probably just to appease Tenshinhan-fans but it's pretty bad imo as it adds nothing.



Introducing another form of fusion is also weird and I never got why Toriyama does it. He could have written around the time the dance takes somehow. Like, I dunno, have another character show up to give them some time. Like, I dunno, Tienshinhan?



Well, this fusion is different, because it's permanent.

Elder Kai having Kibito and Supreme Kai test out the Potara fusing without telling them that the fusion is permanent is one of the biggest dick moves in the series, but one I find kind of funny so it's all cool. I totally forgot Tien got involved at all in this saga, so that was nice. It's nothing compared to his moment in the Cell arc and it's basically just a footnote in this chapter but I do appreciate that Tien has at least managed to contribute in some capacity throughout the entire series.
