It feels weird seeing Goku as the strict pragmatist here, stopping Piccolo who just wanted to save innocent lives. Goku's definitely in the right, Piccolo would just die and they can resurrect people with the Dragon Balls, but considering how both of them started, it's weird. Also with Goku yelling at Goten & Trunks for crying. It just goes to show the gravity of the situation, considering how lackadaisical Goku was during the prep of the Cell Games, this does add more weight to Buu's threat. I also like them establishing two potential methods for stopping Buu with the Zeta Sword at the same time.
