Definitely moving onto a bigger story than a simple tournament, but I think the set-up throughout this has been very solid. This arc is relly well done at the start and gohn as a character is really fantastic ,his buildup is shown epicly,

As fun as a tournament arc can be, this is a great way to shift the story towards something else. Something is up and these new mysterious characters know something about it. I like it.



Not sure if this is Toriyama once again changing his story suddenly (like the start of the previous Cell arc), or if he had this planned as soon as the tournament start. I think it's the latter, and it atleast flows better than the shifts in the Cell arc.
