There's a lot of battles in Dragon Ball with a lot of climatic finishes but I will always contest this is the strongest conclusion to any Dragon Ball fight. A simple Kamehameha clash between Cell and Gohan is elevated both by the dire circumstances preceding it, and the individual elements involved. The father-son Kamehameha is iconic, and I love the passing of the torch vibe felt here, it's a nice way to still have Goku involved in the finish while also paying off Gohan's immense power increases (which have been a thing since Raditz), and feeling like a transition. Vegeta's element is great too, not only because it makes the ending more involved with more players but because it plays off the father-son dynamic present here, albeit inversed with the father surviving. Both he and Gohan gave up after failing to accomplish much, showcased by Vegeta apologizing and Gohan telling Cell to just do it. It's nice to see them both come back from that to play a role.
