I'm surprised people didn't like this that much, the army isn't really filler and it took what? 4-5 pages. The Goku and family stuff I thought was a nice touch, developing their relationship to the audience and idk personally I get the sense there was a darker subtext of simply enjoying your last few days before death as a family.
always though the whole army vs cell was anime filler, now i found out it's toriyama filler, lol. just found this chapter dragged with goku and his family and the whole army vs cell. just like in the anime lol.
