Interesting decision to have this play out in a crossover with Dr. Slump, now seeing that it'll be more integral I've gone to appreciate this more. The stuff with Blue and Suppa-Man was funny without knowing anything about the latter character (who I'm just going to assume is a Slump regular), though obviously being a Superman parody helps with it. And again, I can only imagine how cool of a treat this was to fans of Dr. Slump, especially at the time (I wonder if this was an advertised crossover thing or if they just surprised Dragon Ball readers).
