Gintama Chapter 580 Discussion

Amazing chapter. Honestly this chapter shows there a high chance of Umibouzu dying so he can finally be reunited with Kouka. Kouka should have lived and not Utsuro.  The altana that revived Shouyou's life was the reason of Kouka's death because she couldn't live without it.  Kankou was unable to save Kouka and so the beautiful flower withered. Altana is the key to life and the key in defeating Utsuro.



Abuto looks so young. Kamui took all his life force from him and made him an old tired man. This chapter was Kamui's character development. All he wanted was a happy family. He just wanted mami and papi to be happy so he became strong. But they didn't want that. They just wanted him to be himself but he betrayed them and became the person they didn't want him to be. Kamui became a different  person than what he used to be. Kamui used to protect Kagura from harm but now he is the one to fight her and bring her harm. All Kamui wanted to be with his family but in the end he left their sides.



Kankou and Kouka's love story is so saddening.  Umibouzu just wanted to stay with his family but left them in order to stay with them in the future. He was just trying to protect his family but in the end the family wasn't able to be saved and turn into chaos.

Kagura's family was so tragic that has separated them so much that even hatred have built to kill each other, knowing that Kamui was the same as Takasugi might give hope for redemption and change

This is a great flashback. The strongest in the universe is a wife lol

Sasuga Sorachi. Excellent development for Umibozou, Kouka, but most importantly, Kamui. It's gonna be sad to see how this plays out.



And fuck, Umibozou is defs gonna die T__T

Hmm... Well I understand a bit why Kamui blames his father etc. etc. but... I still don't get why he suddenly turned bad towards Kagura. ._.



Anyway great chapter. It was really great to see Yato family in happier times.

i think it's kinda like what itachi did to sasuke: your hatred towards me will make you stronger.



as their dad, kamui felt that he needed to take the villain role just so her sister could become stronger. it's a messed up way to show love, but sometimes you need to make sacrifices for the sake of the ones you love

I guess the only way to kill Utsuro is to send him flying to the sun, Dragonball Z style.
