Gintama Chapter 551 Discussion

An emotional chapter for sure. So long Shinsengumi, you will be missed until the eventual return!

Yeah I wonder if there will be a time skip...



Good arc overall, had some very memorable moments. And this chapter was a satiating way to conclude it.

Farewell Shinsengumi Arc / End :(



That was really beautiful, glad Kondo got accepted by Tae and Shinpachi, Gintoki and Hijikata exchanging bowls and laughing was awesome, and Kagura and Okita fighting one more time, manly tears were shed. :(



Wonder how long will they be gone, the series just won't be the same w/o our good ol' cops patrolling the streets.

Outstanding arc, the Farewell, Shinsengumi Arc proved to be just as strong, if not stronget than the Shogun Assassination Arc! Hijikata and Gintoki were amazing, Sougo and Kagura were awesome, and Kondo, Otae and Shinpachi were fantastic. Sayonara Shinsengumi!

Manly tears were shed this chapter, a final salute for our Shinsengumi! I hope the comedy still returns, all this seriousness has got my feels way too much.

the arc concludes on a sad note. when will the shinsengumi be back then?



the parallel between how the shinsengumi started and ended is amusing (ly sad) once again they are back to nothing but their swords and dreams



I almost expected to see takasugi in this chapter
