Soul Eater Chapter 87 Discussion

Wait why the hope of everyone for Medusa being really dead? She's the best villain this manga has. The others just aren't that exciting. As everyone said she's cunning tricky and did lots of shit and lets face it, a very cool villain in general. Why would you want her to actually be dead?



Now on the other hand i don't believe is impossible for Medusa to love in her own way. If you actually took notice she's shown humanity before even if she then crashed that image by going all crazy evil.

There is a possibility that her way of love is by making her child the most powerful evil out there.

She might well have sacrificed her self for Chrona to be complete. Basically doing a kind of motherly thing.

She is evil and an evil witch of course wants her child to be more powerful and evil. So what seems to you like torture was for her actually raising Chrona properly. She might simply had different values since she's an evil witch. We believe that the best is to find happiness and love and she believes that the best is powerful darkness and madness. Hell happiness for her might be darkness.

By her standards what she gave Chrona might be the best she could give and since she's a dark soul herself the best she can give is evil and madness. So in a way you can say in her crazy twisted way she gave Chrona her love.

Wow. I don't know what to say besides "holy crap".



I don't think Medusa is dead for good. This was obviously part of her plan to make Chrona "perfect" and I doubt she would actually sacrifice herself without having a masterplan up her sleeve how to get out of this alive (and most likely even more powerful).



Anyway great chapter, really didn't see this turn of events coming. Can't wait for next month.

When Justin killed Tezca Politica and TP did nothing, because he wanted to be friends, I was not amused. It looked like filler to me and I lost hope in Soul Eater.



But THIS!

This is purely disturbing, very nice and very unexpected! I hope the mangaka will continue this way.

doubt Medusa is really dead, if so good on you Corona your gonna be the last villain. i really need to see more BLACK STAR its not the same without him

It certainly looks like Medusa died and Chrona went really fucking insane (WAY more than his insane!usual), But as much as I think Medusa dying at this point awesome (Not because I hate her, I just think that this was done well), I really don't think that's the end of Medusa. She's way too crafty, manipulative, and well-prepared to have died at this point.



So I think we'll be seeing Medusa again, unfortunately ruining part of the impact of this chapter. (Although I'd love to be proven wrong and have her die, it's just not happening.)

Of course Medusa is not dead, she is to much cunning and knows perfectly her daughter and she can guess her reactions. I am sure she will appear in the next chapters



If Chrona really killed her mother, we uselessly lose a witch’s soul for making a new death scythe. And how will manage she to find the kishin alone ??



I am on to. everybody can see it was a clone of Medusa. She even is not capable of   defend herself, during her fight with Stein, she did not suck like that.



Now Chrona deeply fell in the dark side of the strength, we could see how she dissolved people in Ukraine’s town, the Russian death scythe and the Russian meister, she won’t be able to return to the DWMA (Shibusen) easily after that.



With the power of the black clown and more the black blood completed she became almost invincible, I need to see her next fight against Justin LAW, this will be “a beautiful Madness battle”. Justin will have no chance, or then I hope he has a hidden trump card.



In the next chapter Eibon will explain to Death Kid how the Kishin Asura became strong and chose the madness.



I hope Tezca Tiploca is still alive... I want to see him in a fight with his super monkey meister.

I don't know if medusa is really dead or not but it was obviously her plan all along to get chrona to kill her in order to complete the black blood... but still with the number of people who died and came back we never know..I'm sure Tezca is not dead too

Now that's Soul Eater! Good old fashioned, genuinely disturbing Soul Eater! Best chapter in a long while!
