Something will go wrong in the next chapter. They explained everything nice and clearly so whatever happens in the next chapter won't be burdened with any explanation (other than Checker face's real objective/motivation).

Kawahira/Checker face will go batshit crazy and will try to kill em all, I can feel it.

..it almost definitely won't work. If it is going to work, they would've made it so that it happens in this chapter, but they leave it at a pseudo (not to say extremely weak) cliffhanger. So. Something is happening. She's just building the suspense. Rather rushedly (and crappedly).

What if that is the ritual to change the owners of the pacifiers?
