Gyo Chapter 19 Discussion

Wasn't that bad. Liked everything up until the circus part which was just stupid and ridiculous. Ending was left unresolved but then again, you'd need a deus ex machina to get them out the clusterfuck.

Not my favourite Itou work, but it was entertaining! Wish we could have seen more of the whale though.

Hmm, I agree that Uzumaki ended better, it rounded off everything and gave you a real ending. But then again I do like the hope that the Gyo ending gives you. Although I'd say mankind is pretty screwed. There's that hope but you know there's no chance.

There's an impending and inevitable doom in both because the things are unstoppable. And they kinda seemed the same when the contraptions collected heaps of humans into one just like the spiral same buildings.

Damn unstoppable forces of nature.

It was more interesting that this time you see it told by a male instead of a female and they actually have a turbulent relationship. In Uzumaki they seemed fine but in both they tried to save the other despite that.  Both partners seem crazy too.

A fine read, but I think Hellstar remina and uzumaki did it better

What the fuck did I just read? This is probably one of the weakst works by Ito. I've already read The Enigma of Amigara Fault and it's better than the main story.

I read this because the zombie robot fish concept was so morbidly interesting to me. I'm relieved to see that this manga pretty much delivered on such creatures too. It started getting a bit too wacky for me to care towards the end, since the events become so outlandish (giant spider blimp-man, zombie circus, etc.).

Gyo's a cool read if you just want exactly what's on the tin, even if it doesn't offer much outside of it.
