Yu☆Gi☆Oh! Chapter 98 Discussion

                        Oh wow, guess this wasn't the end for the brothers as they have another trick up their sleeves. The riddle here of choosing the correct door made  much more sense here than in the anime tbh. Yugi did not even brake much of a sweat figuring it out.



The real highlight here tho was the return of Dark Bakura! Yes, he speaks to regular Bakura here, offering his help to get them out of the cave. He even says he has changed now, and is on their side, yeah right. Funny thing is, in the anime, this entire part was cut out. Yeah, wanna know the reason why? The director or so hated Bakura's character so that is why we got so little of him in the anime itself. He was essentially reduced to a background character up until the last season where his arc began. Amazed.  



Anyway, the group is out of the maze and onward to the castle they go!   

Both Yugi and Joey now each have 10 star chips, but the Meikyû brothers just don't give up. They really do not like to lose. They have one more problem for the gang. I like how Yugi was trying to get technical with them and say both doors should be opened because they defeated both brothers at the same time. Haha. Smart ass Yugi.

And that little moment of Dark Bakura talking to Bakura was interesting. I didn't know the reason why this was cut out of the anime. They really should have left it in. It would have kept his character relevant a bit more during this time.

Great coin trick by Yugi tho to ultimately get the "right" answer so that the gang can finally move on. Goddamn Meikyû brothers. Definitely some tricksters.

Damn, Ryo ultimately brought Yami Bakura back into the picture all just to save his friends out of the cave. We find out it wouldn’t have mattered which door in the end but Yami Bakura being back could’ve been prevented. I know Ryo did what he felt was right but it was his fault. I wonder what it would’ve been like if Yami Bakura was kept in the dark (no pun intended) for a longer amount of time.
