Well, if they try it again in their next life. They should make sure to maintain the block from all sides. I enjoyed this mysterious, charismatic, regenerative, and vain girls story.

In a way, it was a blessing that the man in black's senility had made him happy. The only thing he wanted was for Tomie to grow old and look ugly. In his mind, he accomplished it. I love the irony of the story.

10/10 masterpiece, I'm glad she escaped, that revenge was dumb af and childish anyway, if he really wants revenge, he should've destroyed all of them coz he got the financial capacity to do so. I doubt he'll be able to eradicate them completely but he'd at least get a lot of them

Also, was surprised on the hate for Tomie throughout the series, like in ch12 people still don't get it that she's manipulative and only uses people. Also Despite the death and chaos she brings everywhere she goes, I there are some that's are justified, like in Orphan Girl, while she ended up killing the old couple, she was able to at least make the couple happy and deliver judgement to that murderer maid Satoko

a great series overall. I’m kind of disappointed we never learnt about Tomie’s true nature but it also fits her very erratic and mysterious figure

Not disappointed with the ending mainly because I never expected an ending to the series since they all seemed to be their own different stories with Tomie on them. I really liked them and found them quite creepy, but they got repetitive.

Gotta appreciate Junji Ito's improvement in drawing though. I checked the first chapter after finishing the manga and holy shit, the drawings improved in a ridiculously drastic way lmao.

8/10

This was like.. author got tired and thought, this is it. It was hinted, Tomie still isn't dead and lurking around somewhere. Perhaps will plan to take over a country or something.. because of course she can lol.

We never knew more than the bare minimum about Tomie, but yeah that's just how this author writes. Decent read anyways but Uzumaki was even more grotesque.

What about the page before the end? What was that about?

You mean where old Tomie bursts out of the block? That was Ryo hallucinating seeing her, she wasn't actually there.

yeah, that's it? volume 3 was pretty bad. it's like, he didn't know how to end it.

i thought we'll have a conclusion on what she really is, but oh well.

The ending was ok. Overall enjoyed this series, I never really expected it to have a “conclusion” because it’s just of series of mostly unrelated incidents involving Tomie. I don’t think there would ever be an end to Tomie anyways, she’s clearly gonna take over the world lol

There is no ending for this series, people, it's an episodic collection of separate stories revolving around the monster known as Tomie, each chapter have its own "series ending"

i thought we'll have a conclusion on what she really is, but oh well. She's an unkillable "mysterious" monster who doesn't even know her own origins, what that's sufficient enough, no need to reveal her true nature because it would ruin the whole mystery and horror elements.

They waited what? 60 years and never noticed the crackThe crack was bellow the rock which they never moved, obviously they won't notice it.

The ending doesn't need an explaination. Ryo just went insane and thought, burrying Tomie in cement was a good idea. But of course she dies when being cemented. And we all know, that when Tomie dies, her body can literally do anything. Even escaping through a crack. Tomie again succeded to make people crazy and thus the two thought they had a genius plan and wasted their lives.

Well, in my opinion, this chapter gives us the final clue on how to pass on Tomie into the afterlife. Either by burning all Tomies to nothing. Or by making her ugly and die of old age. When the second one is taking place, it would make sense, that this gets past onto the hive mind of the other Tomies. The moment one Tomie becomes ugly and dies of old age, I think every other Tomie will cease from existance, because the only two destinies/requirements are nihilated by that moment: being beautiful and being killed while young.

Though we all know, that this task is impossible to archive.

I personally thought the ending was fine for a series that consists of short stories. The horror aspect weakened in the last chapters though. I wonder if it was intentional?

Btw; I would have liked to see a crazy conclusion story for the teacher Takagi.
