The only good he's ever done during the entire series is facing weak characters, females mostly ( no offense meant here :P) and providing us with some naughty comical scenes, so him facing Nike whom I think is the strongest out of Sora's team and by any twisted chance winning is a big NO NO!!

see, as much as i want nike to just rape onigiri and have it over and done with, this is better for the story since Ikki's whole team will most likely end up as the best riders, though i was hoping for Onigiri to develop some sort of bacon power

Nah, I think Sora is stronger. We got a glimpse of that in the flashbacks to when they were kids and chasing Gazelle. Nike is insanely strong, sadistic, psychopathic etc. but I think Sora is even worse.
