It was highly unlikely that Kazu and his Flame Road would defeat Ikki in this battle since this is a shonen manga. but a very enjoyable battle nonetheless. I'm just rather baffled at the speed Ikki and Kazu learned all those techniques. @_@ seriously, how long has it been since he was abandoned by Sora? a couple of weeks?
Ikki used a bunch of tricks in this battle. a miniature tornado similar to the one used by Sora to defeat Spitfire, and some sort of a explosion that results into a shockwave that's similar to Nike's trick when he broke into Tool Toul To's factory. it seemed as though those tricks (well, the miniature tornado at least) were based on manipulation of wind rather than tricks he created himself using the Hurricane Road as the base. That was something I found slightly disappointing.
Kazu on the other hand seemed like he was being gradually pushed back to a wall by Ikki. of the tricks we've seen him perform, its focused on being in a defensive stance or slowing down/immobilizing the opponent. he doesn't seem to have any powerful offensive tricks in his repertoire compared to the other 7 roads. he's still on Lesson 2 though, which could imply that there's still more to learn from Spitfire. that wall of "time" he used looked really neat though.
and Kudos to Oh! Great for the Emily and Nakayama fanservice. those pages made my weekend. xD
