Hmmm so that's the story behind them. The singularity and all that. I don't know how those people got on the car floating on what seems like the ocean, but that's probably not it.

No, this wass the first time Elizabeth was mention. An explanation of Eliza in the next chapter would be great clearing up all the confusion.
The explanation about Michiru was useuful cause it helped me understand more about her purpose.
