Fruits Basket Chapter 86 Discussion

I can’t find chapter 85 discussion. Anyway, Yuki backstory is so touching.

I love how this chapter shows Touro crossing bath with Yuki as child and saves him form the darkness the mentally ill Akito created.

If you are re-reading like me, this will be in volume 8 from the collector edition.

Nothing funny about it at all though, was incredibly touching.



Seriously, this kind of re-contextualizes a lot of Yuki's interactions with Tohru, even some of the initially typical romance moments between them and actually even his relationships with Kyo and other characters like Ayame as well, now it's really easy to get why he.was hostile towards them.. Never thought Yuki would end up a favorite of mine, but here we are.



Oh, and Akito was interesting here. Was he trying to drive Yuki to suicide?
