The double fake-out of Meguri Kyouza killing Mikagami's sister (but not really) was kind of stupid. Really feels like the author made that backstory and then regretted it/had no idea what to do with it because after Mikagami's introduction arc it basically came to nothing. A couple of bread crumbs here and there and then in the end it was just two nameless shitters that did it and his master really was a kind teacher that tried to make him vaguely evil for no reason (again, clearly a change of thought process from the author).
