You know the dude is still alive.. If you pay attention before they crash into the sportscar, the sportscar's passenger side door was open. I'm guessing Kiriyama bailed right before they ram the car and started unloading into it.

You're absolutely right. It's had to maintain suspension of disbelief when this guy is basic the Terminator on steroids
