Battle Royale Chapter 72 Discussion

Yuko's backstory made me so damn sad. We got a glimpse on her state of mind a few chapters back when the other girls initially found her near the lighthouse, and learning more about the kind of person she is/was is heartbreaking. She was barely holding on in life as it is; the program completely broke her spirit apart... Even though she caused that whole lighthouse carnage, I can't blame it on her. I just can't...



And seeing her parents' perspective only makes it harder to digest! For someone like me (an adult woman; not a parent though), the idea of seeing one's own child at the brink of death with little to no chance of survival would give off an unbearable feeling of powerlessness! They know their daughter's troubles that she sufered her entire life. They know that the program will break her. They know, and the only thing they can do is pray for a miracle...

Damn, seeing from the perspective of outsiders is just sad.
