I never gave too much thought into Amaro's father, but I really like how Yoshikazu Yasuhiko presents him. He is a man driven to see his vision become a success, even if someone else takes the glory for it.
The way I understood the synopsis of the "flashback", it was only about Char/Casval. I am glad we get to know better other side characters like Tem Ray
(the anime shows him only as someone who does not care for his family). The way Yasuhiko depicts the project evolution pleases me also a lot more than what I could understand through the animated movies, it makes somehow more sense for me.
