Gotta love bunny suits lol.



I also love multiverse or parallel universe stories. But only when it's fun and features familiar characters.



Apparently, those weird rabbits were and the tea party setting as a whole was based on Alice in Wonderland.



The bunny suits also gained a lot of popularity in Japan at the time. And even lost their association with Playboy according to furinkan.com.




It's funny how the OVA changed the bunny suits of Lum and Shinobu a bit and made them sexier. The Remake "fixed" it by making them more like the manga version by making them look fluffier. But we still didn't get a good look at the suits yet.



I loved the artstyle and character designs of the OVA and how much it resembled the manga, unlike the last episodes of the TV series. What I loved more was how the artstyle changed over the course of the anime with the manga. It was a sense of progression.



You don't really have that with the Remake. Because the artstyle is pretty much set from the beginning. And it's a bit unfortunate the Remake artstyle doesn't really resemble the latter parts of the manga. It just feels a bit strange.
