Urusei Yatsura Chapter 319 Discussion

This chapter was adapted as the 11th OVA animated by Madhouse released in 1991 before the release of Movie 6. Technically, this was the last episode of the original anime before OVA12 came out in 2008 animated by Sunrise in digital animation.



Wow. This chapter is so short and different compared to the OVA. It's been a long time since I watched it but I remember liking it. I think it was made by a completely different staff from those who worked on the TV series yet they were still able to add great anime original content. This just proves that if you let the animators be a bit creative they can make fantastic content and sometimes not following the manga strictly can be a good thing and lead to positive results.
