Urusei Yatsura Chapter 309 Discussion

This and the next chapter were adapted into OVA6 The Electric Household Guard which was released in August 1989.



The Mendo family employed Shingo and his grandfather as the "oniwaban" or personal bodyguard for Shutaro. Surely it will go well.



The translation is definitely inconsistent... why do they translate words and names that don't need translation but keep words like this untranslated...?



I wonder if Shingo was the inspiration for Sasuke from Ranma 1/2. I know Sasuke was an original character for the Ranma 1/2 anime but there is definitely a slight resemblance to Shingo as both characters are ninjas and servants of their rich masters, Kuno and Mendo.
