Urusei Yatsura Chapter 261 Discussion

This was such a sweet chapter.



Ataru IS an asshole but from time to time he does humble himself for the sake of Lum. And I can respect that. Not every anime/manga MC needs to be the paragon of good or something.




This was a chapter that was technically adapted in the OG anime as episode 151. But they pretty much ruined the whole thing. Some scenes from the manga did make it in but the story was drastically changed with a lot of original scenes.



It was a very trippy episode but they butchered the simple story of the manga. I liked the visuals of the episode a lot but they should've reserved it for another episode.



This is why I saw some people asking for this chapter to be faithfully adapted in the Remake. I wish it would be in the Remake but I'm not sure if it will be.
