Urusei Yatsura Chapter 8 Discussion

Bruh what the fuck is Spring Equinox? Why couldn't they just write Setsubun and just put a small translator's note like normal manga translators would? Why did they think using "spring equinox" would be more recognizable than using the Japanese term for the festival? I had to google WTF that shit was.



The new Viz translations suck ass. But unfortunately, that's the only Urusei Yatsura release that's currently in print. Why can't Urusei Yatsura have normal translations? Like the AnimEigo subs of the original anime series?



Anyways, a great chapter with the introduction of Benten. I like how she flirted with Ataru in front of Lum. She's a woman who's not afraid to do risky things to get the job done.

Ataru and Benten kiss almost happened, the guts this guy has, no problems in hitting on another chick while Lum could see everything, in the end, he became a sacrifice.
