Urusei Yatsura Chapter 2 Discussion

                        The crazy imp appears, no Lum this chapter, we were all with Shinobu, hilarious as I was expecting. I love how the chapter just ends with a huge number of imps in Ataru's room, making lewd advances towards Shinobu and they will disappear without a trace in the next chapter.

Ataru is REALLY unlucky!

A really funny chapter with 0 Lum. This was when Rumiko Takahashi hadn't yet considered making Lum the main heroine.



Shinobu was still the main love interest in the early chapters and it really shows. Fans wanted Lum to return and Takahashi-sensei obliged. It was the best decision she ever made.



Considering Urusei Yatsura was her first major series, complying with fan requests was probably for the best, both for her career and the fans. It's hard to think of Urusei Yatsura without Lum.



It's interesting how the OG anime included Lum in the episode. Episode 6B btw.
