Urusei Yatsura Chapter 176 Discussion

                        I forget how annoying Ryunosuke's dad is. I'm sure in the anime these episodes involving Ryunosuke's mom. Made him into the most unlikable character in the series.



I actually got sad when Ryunosuke went crying to Ataru's mom.



When they are on the swings Lum is on top of Ataru's shoulders. Which I thought was funny.



I was looking at the background and noticed there's a calendar the year says 1983. So we are in 1983 in the manga. This means the chapter actually came out in 1983 then?

I feel like the translation quality just keeps getting worse and worse. It's not like I enjoy complaining about this. But they leave me no choice.



This chapter was a bit emotional for me too. It was more sad than funny. It's sad that Ryunosuke might never meet her mother because of her asshole dad.



And yes, this chapter came out on March 30, 1983.
