Urusei Yatsura Chapter 157 Discussion

The reference to Little Women or Wakakusa no Yon Shimai was pretty cool. Now I have another anime to watch.



Girls can love each other. But only if Ataru is one of the girls.



The way Mr. Fujinami is so persistent in wanting to turn his daughter into a sad is kinda depressing.



Kurama had to leave without a suitor once again. But at least Ataru turned back into a guy. I don't think being a guy or a girl matters to him. He'd chase other women all the same.




Seems like the scene of Ataru's mom seeing Ataru as a girl was anime original. That scene was hilarious.

Man, I remember hearing somewhere that after Ryunosuke was introduced she basically hijacked the series. After reading basically 10 Ryunosuke chapters in a row, I don't think they were lying.



I have a feeling Ryunosuke is probably Takahashi's favorite character of Urusei Yatsura.



Ryunosuke and her conflict with her dad was basically the prototype for her next major series, Ranma 1/2.



Urusei Yatsura Data File 15 was about Ryunosuke and her relationship with her father. That was a fun read. So it seems like there are a few moments where he cares about his daughter after all. But I couldn't remember most of them.



I feel like most people hate him because the anime probably made him a bigger asshole. And the chapters where he was nicer were never animated.
