Urusei Yatsura Chapter 82 Discussion

I guess swallows turn into penguins when they get giant, eh?




This chapter was giving me early Urusei Yatsura vibes and I get why. It's cos this chapter was adapted way back in episode 2 of the OG anime. Meanwhile, the last 2 chapters were adapted in episode 4. It makes sense cause the anime started in 1981 and it looks like Pierrot prioritized adapting the latest chapters over older chapters. Despite being quite new at the time, the anime staff showed promise by exaggerating the story of the manga and making them way more ridiculous already, by turning the last part of the episode into a kaiju battle.
