Ookiku Furikabutte Chapter 112 Discussion

                        Uh, wow. I know the English scanlations of this chapter aren't out yet, but I just gotta get my feelings out here..




So, Mihashi did a windup that worked?! And it certainly looked powerful, though there was no text speaking about how fast it was besides "exciting!" by his infield/outfield teammates.



I just can't get over the looks on Mihashi and Abe's faces. Just sort of wide-eyed "...WHAT." That was also my expression, too, I imagine. XD



The battery don't let themselves celebrate at all -- if anything, they still look somewhat shellshocked. Both, too, are worried about Mihashi's increasing slip on his control. The switch from 6 1/2 to 7 steps has ended up screwing with his ability to throw tightly with his usual 6 1/2 to the point of having to stick with 7, despite the fact that he's just started to use it practically (not just at home pretending to throw with balls) and it leaves him more susceptible to injury.



And now this new Fastball. More powerful but it could go wild. Abe had to adjust his glove for the first time in, what. Ever? Is this the first time?



Anyways, these developments are exciting in both a dangerous and good way. I'm scared these kids might not win against Senda, or Mihashi might injure himself, but whatever happens the status quo is changing. In such a way, everything secure is changing in such a way that can never be changed back.



I'm excited and terrified and deep-breaths-hands-in-mouth anticipating next month's chapter.
