Did her own dad forget she's a girl like her brother does? In the scene where Flay confronts Kira in the hallway, he tells her they'll talk later, like in the anime. In the anime, I interpreted this as him regretting breaking up with her. The manga has a different connotation, because they never break up to begin with, and it is just a fight. Other Kira/Flay scenes omitted include her naked in bed as he dresses up to fight the desert tiger, and the whole Sai piloting the Gundam then being visited by Flay, followed by Kira confronting Flay and Flay attempting to seduce him into forgiving her only to be thrown off by Kira subplot. The scene with Sai and Kira fighting in the hall was a pretty big change from Kira and Sai fighting outside while Cagalli watches, too. Kira seemed more vicious in the anime. This Kira is gentler, and more like how Lacus sees him in the anime. For example he does not swing a sword at Nicol deliberately like on the original anime. Nicol just jumps in front of a blast aimed at Athrun.
