No I actually really don't hate Emma, I did at first when she would pester Sumire but when I found out she loved Hugh that all went away. I feel bad for her, it seems like she has been in love with him for awhile, meanwhile he doesn't even treat her like a female, and so she goes home every night sad as heck. She also put in all that effort into baking to try and impress Hugh and then Sumire comes in... Yeah I really feel bad for Emma however think she should find someone other than Hugh to love.
