People think this is an exaggeration, but as someone who has suffered through bullying and never got any justice, schools will do literally anything they can to sweep these things under the rug and not get themselves on a headline. The only unrealistic part about this chapter is that they would let the girl speak out. Most schools don't want bullying to even be considered as a possibility at their school.
