I believe so. There have been many cases where people forcefully forget traumatic events because they couldn't deal with the pain. There is a manga called Haru that makes this clearer.



Glad to see he was able to feel warmth again. Couldn't imagine losing one of my sisters.

As someone who hates cold, frostbite, and hypothermia, this chapter was especially discomforting.
