I think she is starting to realize she likes Kyouhei but the two of them never really get to the point of falling in love, just like almost there and then they back off again, like her getting a nosebleed again.    That sort of thing is dragging on a bit,  I want to see some more plot.   However I still like it and really know the reactions of each character as I've been reading this for years.  

Kyouhei actually just wants her to be happy and is fine with the way things are, especially if he gets fed.    He is not into romance but he is always by her side when she needs him.  

I really love this manga too but I wish more romance would develop with Sunako&Kyohei, like you said how it's like they're getting closer&realizing feelings then by the end of the chapter she's getting a nose bleed again..xc Regardless, I really enjoy reading this.c:
