Yup. But if I'm right, he probably was focused on translating the novel so his wife could jump in and be healed somehow? Just a guess.

Man, the difference in art style and panel layout is really apparent after finishing the original Fushigi Yugi. Either way, I like the start of Genbu Kaiden so far and am curious to see how the Watase of almost a decade later tells a story in this world.
