I find it interesting that it will take the main Abh fleet 72 hours to reinforce. What makes this odd is that the force under siege is in fact a sizable fleet. It doesn't appear like the defense has that great of an advantage, so leaving such a large force hanging out to dry seems irresponsible. That small fleet could possible delay the enemy, but I don't see why that is so important when the main Abh fleet was just waiting for the enemy to appear.
But, I don't expect the writer of the light novels to understand nuances of military tactics and strategy.
