GANTZ Chapter 270 Discussion

Oka plays ping pong... Sugoi! ^_^



But anyways that chapter was epic and I can't believe he didn't get fazed by that intense psi-blast. But I wonder what Oka meant by "Had I had an opening, that might've hurt". Does that mean his suit has some kind of mind-controlled, psychic barrier (>_<)? Well can't wait for the next chapter and I wonder what Nurari transformation we'll see next, but I really hope this endless battle will end soon.

                Oh god. Oka is so fucking badass. I re-read the chapter a bunch of times because it was that epic (albeit a one-sided battle). Nurarihyon looked really pathetic in this chapter though. perhaps its already in a weakened state after regenerating several times (he did get nailed by an H-gun)? or Oka's uber-suit combined with his experience proved to much even for Nuri? I'm leaning towards the former.

Haha, true. that was a nice surprise. I was expecting him to just a guy with a couple of loose screws on his head.

At the end of the chapter it says "next chapter: Nurari gets even more...?!" I'm kinda thinking that Nurarihyon was giving Oka a chance to show his moves. If I was pretty much immortal like Nurari seems to be, I would consider fighting to be pretty boring. I might do my typical psi-blast thing, but if the guy lived, I would probably just stand there and let my opponent have the next move to see if he did anything interesting.



We've seen Nurari regenerate from much more devastating attacks than this, so I think the party's just getting started.



Good eye. I missed out on that little detail. after seeing the pwnage performed by Oka, I was already bracing myself for the aftermath of this arc.

It's so weird how they introduce this new character, Oka...

It's also weird how similar his name is to the Mangaka's.

Also, that dialogue was pretty stupid, and the fact that he took down the enemy so easily, this chapter was pretty lame.

From his remarks while he was kicking Nurari's ass, it sounds like he's some sort of dork and that's adorkable~ He shouldn't be complacent with his apparent win though since it came to him way too easily.

Gantz has a bi-weekly release format. The magazine its serialized in (Young Jump) is released on Thursdays. usually the raw circulates on the same day or sometimes, 1 day later if its not from the usual raw provider.
