That martial arts dude is a bad ass ... I mean sure he is using a meat shield (though guessing the person was already dead) but it would be worth it if he gets the gun away from that psycho ... But here is what I don't get ... If that insane dude does get sent back does he not think that literally everyone else in that room (who he killed) wouldn't just instantly kill him? I mean even if they don't know, Kei can just say "that is the gunner that shot you all down"
