A lot better when compared to the first episode of the anime, the anime really dragged out the gore and nudity. But for the manga it was almost all censored and there was a larger focus on mystery elements.
Having read the first chapter myself, I'll have to give the anime adaptation more credit than I gave it at my first watch years ago. Lucy's lab escape was certainly vastly improved on here~
Yes, they do look kind of like cow ears. So chapter 1 is basically episode 1 in the anime, that's the only way I can really sum it up.
It looks like it will be good, since it's going to be way more in depth with the storyline, and they don't have to sum it up in 13 episodes. This is also my first manga, yay!
