It's not gone...for the last time it's just deactivated for now. Look back at chapter 398 specifically. Gray turns the power on and off whenever he needs to.



Why deactivate it when he's about to destroy END? Makes no sense. And once again TATTOO POWERS ARE NEVER PERMANENT in Fairy Tail. This has been the precedent thus far.



Yeah completely ignore the other time the tattoo was shut off and he turned it back on to further your own argument. I provided evidence, you provided nothing in return to refute said evidence.



Plus like you just said, how can Gray destroy END if his devil slayer magic is now gone?

It's simple. He's not going to destroy END. He never had that role because ZEREF himself gave it to Natsu.



Those examples you used the panel NEVER focused on the Tattoo fading away. It just did. In this chapter you had two hole panels CENTERED around the tattoo fading. It's gone. The sooner you accept it the less disappointment you'll have



I'm not even a Gray fanboy and I know that he's going to keep his power up, just like Lucy will probably keep hers since she lost one of her celestial spirits. Every main character has received some kind of power up this arc, it would make no sense to take away Gray's when he finally caught up to Natsu (Who now can now do Dragon Force at will).



You just like arguing with people and throwing out your own opinions with no backing, then proceeding to act like everyone else that actually pays attention to these things is stupid. Yeah I'm done arguing with you, its like talking to a brick wall.

Nice to see that we will hopefully find out about what happened to the dragons soon. I have to agree with earlier posts that Acnologia was likely affected by Face, otherwise all that buildup from the last few arcs is dead in the water.



On the subject of the whole Natsu = END theory I do think it is still a rather reasonable possibility. However, does anyone else get the feeling that END's soul is going to hop into the weakened Acnologia? I could see Natsu getting possessed for a short duration first before some friendship moment allows him cast out his END side, but I just get a really strong feeling that Hiro is going to do what he did with Endless and start combining the various sources of evil together into a single planet ravaging horror.



Finally, I am curious to see what becomes of Marde Geer at this point. Will he go for a suicide attack? Freak out in a classic villain breakdown? Should be interesting to see.

Can't really say if it was a good or bad turnaround. I'll wait 'til the next chapter.

Btw since on this page I got spoiled with very plausible predictions I'll also give something I deducted - after they win and be happily reunited & etc, after the dragons leave Makarov will delete everyone's memories to preserve Mavis' secret whatever it may be since the need to use her will definitely arrive in spite of the hope that the latest chapter presented

Ok, so the lumen Histoire won't be doing anything. Kind of disappointed about that. I guess that'll leave chances to reveal more about it.



The dragons coming back we're epic as hell.



Anyway, really enjoyed this chapter. 5/5 for me.



I'm kind off getting impatient with E.N.D's arrival though. It almost feels like Mashima is stalling.

What a chapter, I don't know what to say but I will try.



I do feel ripped off that we didn't get to see Lumia Historia, well still might we do have E.N.D. to contend with, though they might save that for the final battle of the series with Zereff, so if we have to wait till than, I won't mind if it is worth the wait.



Still in that time of crisis they have to fit in the fan service with Lisanna, at least it wasn't Lucy, normally Lucy gets herself in these situations, but giving Lisanna's abilities it made sense, so it is like it came out of nowhere. But Doranbolt does show his kind side giving her his coat, though if she was younger who knows what Doranbolt would have done.



So the other guilds were trying to destroy Face, it is nice to see Blue Pegasus, though I rather see Lamia Scale, and I want to see Mermaid Heel dam it and finally meet their guild master.



I didn't know what was going on with Igneel saying don't give up, and suddenly these forces were stopping Face, I didn't know who was till Wendy said Grandeeny I knew the dragons were back, holly crap I take it back, I guess the dragons did serve a purpose in this arc. Of course someone will complain that this was a Des Magia and they are probably right, but who cares the dragons are here. Besides I am sure we will still see E.N.D.



Speaking of which I thought Natsu and Gray were going to fight for real and still might if Natsu does become E.N.D., and Gray is determined, but if it is Natsu, what will he do? Would he still kill E.N.D., we will see.

If it is natsu.... How much you wanna bet the romance card will be pulled and Lucy will have a big part of snapping him out of it ala "true love power"



And 20 dollars on igneel "dying" to cause natsu to snap



Oh I am counting on that card~ Even without the Romance angle, Lucy has shown the ability to calm Natsu down from doing something reckless. Like the train station during Lullaby and that time in Edolas when they saw the king for the first time.
