So Natsu and Gray survived Memento Mori. Both of which were unscathed enough to use their best moves... Even though they both also took on some Kyuukimon before that. Jee. Didn't see that one coming. Oh, also, the "convenient power up" card came into play with two different characters this week. I know I'm being awfully whiny about all of this ^, but there's a point when convenient stuff that happens EXCLUSIVELY for protagonists becomes so predictable that you really don't feel like there's anything at stake at all. I mean, come on. Who thought for one minute that either Gray or Natsu would be even incapacitated (they couldn't die, of course, and I'm cool with that) by that "ULTIMATE CURSE"? Cuz I didn't. And I don't think It's be too much guesswork from me to say that most other people who follow the series got same hunch, which totally kills the suspense for me. I'm not even that hopeful about E.N.D. With him being a fire demon and all, Natsu will probably pull some shenanigan like eating his flames and beating him to pulp (with no magic power left, but that hurdle is practically a joke by now).
I am going to get so much hate for this. Oh, well. At least it's out of my system.
EDIT: About what the guy above me said. Generally speaking, if most of the time you have to "hope it will be explained", then the manga you are reading has very serious storytelling problems. There's a difference between series that use "figure it out for yourself with the logic we have provided" and Fairy Tail's "LOL IDK."
Dude...I am worried about hiro mashima trolling us with the entire series too...but if you look close enough the dark clouds of confusion in FT are slowly clearing away....I'll be damned if this series will be over not giving a damn about those moments that have been absurd seemingly. But what's the point when you are enjoying the manga and being hopeful for logic.
