I don't think that's actually Zeref. The way Tartaros acted was as if they had no idea where in the world Zeref was. I think it might be a recording or a memory put in place in Tartaros since that's where his books are.

So is Hiro trying to make us feel sorry for Tartarus? They just want to go home, all that is messing is violins in the background, after all they have done, we are suppose to be feel sorry for them? I am a very sympathic person, but even I have my limits.

Then why are tartaros worshiping an altar of Zeref when they are introduced. As for why time stopped it could be a trigger so that he can give Natsu some huge information since it only triggered to him. A system prepared in advance
